Muscle Testing

by Marcy White on September 30, 2010

I love good wine. I have my favorite winery but sometimes I want to explore new vineyards. Well, if I haven’t tasted it and the label isn’t shouting ‘Buy me just because I’m so darn cute’ then I am left with using my pendulum or doing this simple muscle test. So, there I am with my eyes closed while holding this possible new candidate for my wine holder in between my breasts and people come around the corner and stop talking (probably gaping at me in wonderment). Well, my body had just moved forward in answer to my question ‘Will my body like this wine?’ so when I opened my eyes and looked at these people I just had to smile and move on about my business.

When I first learned this technique in 1995 I would never have used it in public. My gosh, what would people think of me? Ha…..I’m so glad I finally got over that way of thinking. Now I never waste my money on vitamins that my body hasn’t approved beforehand. BTW, people in health stores usually know what you are doing and they will often comment on how ‘cool’ they think it is. Ha, see there….Now I’m ‘cool’.

So, here it is. Once again, you need to be grounded and centered. And no, you do not need to close your eyes. Hold whatever item you want to test at your thymus. Ask if this is good for you OR ask if your body needs this substance now. Your body will lean back for no, forward for yes, and remain where it is for neutral.

Also, if you are struggling with some decision you need to make you can just stand there and ask if a certain decision is for your highest good. Try it. Let me know how it goes.

A very basic question. Where is the thymus?

Hi Nancy,
Thanks for asking. The thymus gland is in the middle and directly above your breasts. So, when I was holding the big wine bottle it just probably looked like I was lovingly caressing it between my breasts. But, if I was holding an apple I would put it slightly above my breasts. Let me know how your testing goes.

Thanks for sharing this; I’ve used it for making decisions, but not for things I’m thinking about eating or drinking. I’ve been “feeling” like I wanted to cut down on my vitamin pill consumption, and I’m going to use this method to see if/or which ones to cut out. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Well, my body doesn’t like regular coffee, but decaf is okay (whew, I really like the taste of coffee, and don’t need the caffeine, anyway.) Sometimes it seems to take up to twenty or thirty seconds before a response happens – is that too long, or am I just impatient? It takes a little getting used to, but I’m having fun with it, too.

Hi Amanda,

No, 20 to 30 seconds is within a normal range. I think the stronger the answer is the faster you will receive, almost as if your body is saying ‘Thank god you finally asked me!’.

It’s the same with the pendulum. Sometimes I’m already thinking the question as I get my pendulum so the minute I touch it the answer is there and sometimes in a very strong way.

Of course I still recommend (especially for people new to the pendulum) that you ask the pendulum to show you a ‘Yes’ and a ‘No’ before asking the question. Especially if you are using someone else’s’ pendulum because they may have ‘programmed’ theirs to answer a certain way.
